About Orthogonal

Orthogonal (YC W26) is building the infrastructure layer for AI agents to discover, access, and pay for APIs. We're starting with go-to-market, the APIs that power outbound, enrichment, and growth. We're two technical cofounders in San Francisco.

The Role

This is a founding role, not a maintain-the-codebase role. You'll own how developers experience Orthogonal — the dashboard, API marketplace, and playground — making complex agent and API workflows feel obvious. You'll work directly with both founders and ship code users see immediately.

What you'll do

• Build and own the developer dashboard, API marketplace (discover), and playground
• Design intuitive UX for agent and API workflows, auth, and real-time logs and usage
• Craft our docs, onboarding, and SDK/CLI developer experience
• Obsess over polish, performance, and responsiveness across the product
• Ship to production daily with Next.js; use AI tools heavily to build and iterate

Who you are

• Track record of shipping polished, production frontend
• Expert with Next.js/React and TypeScript
• Real product and design sensibility, you sweat the details
• Care deeply about developer experience for technical users
• Self-directed and thrive with real ownership on a small team

Nice to have

• Built developer tools, dashboards, or data-dense UIs
• Strong design skills (Figma)
• Experience with real-time interfaces
• Interest in AI agents, APIs, and developer tools
